Job Context :

Carpenter - Team leader/ Master carpenter

We are looking for creative, experienced, reliable, and hardworking carpenters for residential projects around Auckland. Join our carpentry team and lead it, you will have hammer hands working under you and a supportive management to collaborate and receive guidance from. We welcome locals and migrants to join our team and make it more diverse.

You will need

·         Class 1 NZ driver’s license

Job description

·         You will report to the Project Manager

·         Maintain timesheets and submit reports of any incidents that occur On-site to the management

·         Maintaining On-site health and safety regulations

·         Provide On-job training to new recruits if needed

·         Ensure the site is cleaned up at the end of every shift

·         Be responsible for moving necessary equipment and machinery to and from site

·         Measure, cut, or shape timber, and other materials

·         Work on top of stilts, ladders, scaffolds, top beams of buildings, etc

·         Understand building plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures

·         Plan the ordering and selecting of timbers and materials and prepare layouts.

·         Ensure quality control and timely completion of the project

·         Examining blueprints and drawings, determining, and estimating project materials and requirements.

·         Construct and repair building structures and frameworks and demolish metal and wooden structures and fixtures.
